A disciplined yoga practice along with meditation will train the mind to be present more often and for longer periods of time. However, we can’t expect to be completely present and focused every moment.
Together, yoga and meditation help us become better able to gently bring ourselves back to the present moment. We are able to stay focused and more attentive for longer periods of time. We become less ruffled, less reactive, when things become hectic around us.
Be diligent - it’s a never-ending process of bringing the wandering mind back to the task at hand. Be persistent - it’s worth it.
