“We must either wear out or rust out, every one of us. My choice is to wear out.” - Theodore Roosevelt
A dangerous way of thinking is to believe the voices that tell us when we age, we will decline and become ill. If we believe that, then we may choose to become less active, focusing on aches and pains, and giving up activities because we believe we are too old, too tired, our backs ache, arthritis is setting in, etc. Remember, we choose to rust out if we believe the voices.
Yoga is the perfect lifelong practice. Not only does it keep our minds sharp, clear, and focused, it keeps our bodies strong and supple.
True, sometimes we may have to deal with injuries when things start to “wear out,” but that’s the price of staying active. And we must stay active if we want to wear out rather than rust out. ~ Lisa
