“Success isn’t measured by money or power or social rank. Success is measured by your discipline and inner peace.” ~ Mike Ditka
No matter how good things look on the outside, if it ties us in knots on the inside, then we cannot call it success.
No matter how things look on the outside, if we are equanimous on the inside, we are successful.
In your yoga practice, it ultimately does not matter if we can float or bind or balance on our hands. Sure, it is important to develop our strength, agility, and flexibility, but to experience the deeper benefits of yoga, we simply need to make a consistent, sincere effort, time and time again.
When we have the discipline to stick with what matters to us, to work hard on what fulfills us, to be consistent with doing things that align with our values, then we can find that inner peace in all of our daily endeavors.
