With more and more people suffering from anxiety or some other form of mental dis-ease, now, perhaps more than ever, people need a quiet period every day...to reflect...to tune in, not zone out and go with the flow...but to pay attention to what's really important. In silence, all things are answered.
At DY we refuse to play loud pop music (or any music for that matter) in our classes. We stand by our conviction that Yogasana is not to be practiced in such an environment. The music that we practice to is the sound of our breath...nothing external is needed.
It is the space between the notes that makes music. Practicing quiet yoga will allow you to experience that space and create music out of your life. ~ JDS
